Conferences and seminars
Since 2005, Center on Export Controls (CEC) has been organizing and conducting
international and national workshops, training, conferences and briefings in the field of non-proliferation, export controls, biosafety and biosecurity, intellectual property, procurement and customs issues. Since its establishment, the Center has been closely working with the US Department of Commerce and Department of Energy in the framework of the US State Department’s Export Control and Related Border Security Assistance Program (EXBS). Within this program, CEC conducted technical workshops on the National Control List, licensing, workshops on WMD Commodity Identification Training and others.
During the period of February 2009 – March 2014 and in cooperation with the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC) and Canadian Government, the Center conducted a series of workshops in the field of biosafety and biosecurity: EC for Biological Materials in KR: an International workshop, Biosafety workshop, STPBT and TDG workshops, BACAC conferences.

On 9 December 2021, Bishkek hosted a Workshop on implementation of the Course on Export Control and the Master's program on Strategic Trade Control (STC) at the Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn.
